Lucky for me, I’ve known Mac my entire life! Given we had no choice in the matter, we actually were born to be best friends and I am so grateful. Mac has the ability to make every day fun, and has a special talent of making me laugh like a grandpa lol. As her twin sister we’ve gone through every stage of life hand in hand, but watching her fall in love and become a mother has been one of my favorites. I can’t wait to celebrate both Mac and Adrian in the coming weeks and watch their love blossom and family grow in the years to come.

Mackenzie and I met when she was born! After they joined us earth side I got to visit her in the hospital where she was being kept safe and warm in an incubator. I held her tiny hand a sang her a song. Little did we all know she would grow up to be an amazing singer!! She’s always been so creative and talented, be it painting, putting on a dance routine I would make up for us as kids, embroidery, calligraphy, singing, or playing an instrument. Mackenzie has always been so true to herself and embraced every amazing part that makes up the lady we all love so much. It’s been such a blessing to watch her grow into the woman and mother she is today. I am so proud and eternally grateful to call her my sister and friend.

The first time I saw Mackenzie, she was picking up her folder and trying to gather the papers that had flown everywhere. She was crying and instead of offering to help, I ran outside to my mom because the other class was already coming in. Thankfully, this was not our only interaction and we soon became best friends thanks to Mrs. Garcia’s kindergarten class! One of my favorite things about Mackenzie is how tenacious she is. She never gives up and will always put in 110% into whatever she is doing, whether that be her relationships, motherhood, or creative pursuits. I will never forget that shy, sweet girl from over 20 years ago and feel very lucky to know the woman she has become!

I met Mackenzie in 7th grade and we haven’t looked back since! She is my best sister friend and anyone who knows her knows unconditional love, kindness, and safety. I am so grateful to have walked through so much life with her. I see Jesus in her warmth and how she is always welcoming to every person she encounters. It has been so sweet to walk through high school dances, freshman college dorms, engagements, and motherhood together. She is an amazing sister, daughter, momma, and soon to be wife! Mackenzie and Adrian have such a beautiful story with God bringing them together and it has been an honor to watch it all happen. I can’t wait to see all that God does in their marriage!
