Due to the concern for the safety and well-being of our loved ones we made the difficult decision to alter our wedding plans in 2020. With Jessica being in the military and having a travel ban we made a last minute decision to get married on March 19th. We promised to love each other and exchanged vows in front of close friends and family in a hastily put together but wonderful ceremony at Cassidy's fathers ranch. Now they would like to share their happiness and celebrate one year of marriage with all the friends and family that were unable to be at the legal ceremony.
Cassidy and Drew met working at Outback Steakhouse in 2015. They began their relationship after Cassidy's birthday party that year and then they spent four years growing their love and life together. They learned a lot about each other, even things like both of them were in JROTC and Drew had pictures of Cassidy's mom on his Facebook from an event they attended together before they met. They had barely missed meeting each other many times, in high school they had mutual friends even though they lived in different cities and in college both were in ROTC for a time but Cassidy was a year ahead of Drew, but something obviously wanted them to be together. They finally listened to what the universe was yelling at them.
On September 7th 2019 Drew sent Cassidy on a scavenger hunt to the places in town that meant the most to them as a couple and eventually led her back to their house. There, he had the house lit with candles and string lights and proposed. He had truly listened to everything she wanted for the proposal, even including the surprise photographer to capture the moment. He had also planned an engagement party with all of their family and friends as a surprise. It was the perfect day for an amazing couple!
