In the Summer of 2014, Sam and Kaleb were both attending the Mary G. Montgomery Marching Band's Band Camp. As high school freshmen both were struggling to adapt to their new environment but found friendship in each other. Over the next four years, the two grew closer (and flirtier) by attending school dances together, sitting together in classes, and hanging out whenever they could. Post graduation, Sam and Kaleb went their separate ways while staying in touch. Kaleb went to Louisiana while Sam went to Kentucky. Their freshman year of college was tough for them both so they came back home to Mobile, Al. Soon they resumed their friendship as if they had never been separated. Sam transferred to Auburn University while Kaleb trained to become a Lineman for Alabama Power. Again, the two would get dinner whenever Sam would come home from college. Dinner after dinner they got closer until finally, Kaleb asked her on a real date. Four years after that first date, while preparing for the rest of their lives together, the couple agrees they were always meant to be together, they just needed the right timing. They thank God that He allowed them to come back to each other after all the trials and changes in their lives.
