On July 22, 2017, David stood on his deck on gorgeous Saturday evening in Stillwater, MN and posted a video of his musings from the week. He didn't post the video to his personal Facebook page, however. He posted it to a reformed Facebook group, where the tagline is "RH is not a dating site." Little did he know that one of the groups members, a young Filipina from Houston named Rosalee, would take notice. After commenting back and forth on the post, David and Rosalee would find themselves conveniently commenting on the same posts over the next week. This occurred until July 27 when David finally convinced himself to just message her. And what did David and Rosalee discuss in their first conversation? The weather of course! Over the next week, David and Rosalee would find themselves talking every day until, on August 3rd, David asked Rosalee if she would like to pursue a relationship with him. She emphatically said yes, beginning a journey that neither of that would have imagined. Over the next 4 1/2 months, the Lord would bring Rosalee and David through numerous joys and trials, continually bringing them closer together in Christ. On December 15th enlisting the help of a few of her friends, David asked for Rosalee's hand in marriage kneeling on a pile of fake snow (she had said that she wanted to be proposed to in the snow) outside of her apartment as he symbolically brought Minnesota to Texas. As expected, she said yes. David and Rosalee will say "I do" on April 14, 2018, and they cannot wait to share their vows before the Lord and their friends and family.
