Disneyland Park
Disneyland is in Anaheim; we recommend getting a Hopper Pass so you can enjoy California Adventure as well. Consider renting a car--it's a bit of a drive.
LA Farmers' Market
A permanent farmer's market and an institution. We recommend the Brazilian BBQ place.
Little Tokyo
One of Tara's favorite places in the world, and where she spends all her birthdays. Don't be afraid to explore! You can get there from Union Station by foot or via the Gold Line.
Los Angeles County Museum of Art
Tara and Rob are proud of LA, and nothing makes you feel prouder than LACMA's excellent art collection. You can take the bus from the Purple Line stop at Wilshire and Western. Consider stopping for some Korean food in K-Town first!
Santa Monica Pier
One of the most iconic spots in Los Angeles and the site of many dates for the happy couple. Consider taking your sweeties there and ride the Ferris wheel while you're in town. You can take the Expo Line from 7th and Metro, which is reachable via multiple lines.
The Huntington Library, Art Collections, and Botanical Gardens
A beautiful collection of art and gardens in San Marino, near Pasadena, and the site where Tara does much of her dissertation work (in the Huntington library collections). A must-see. Consider having tea near the rose gardens, or enjoying some dumplings in the Chinese garden.
The Getty
Another of Rob and Tara's favorite date spots. Admission is free! You just pay for parking. Worth a visit or three!
The Getty Villa
Make a reservation to try Tea by the Sea! A beautiful place, and a spot where Tara and the other Art Club bridesmaids used to sketch in high school!
