Maid of Honor
The Monica to my Rachel, the Leslie to my Ann, the Cristina to my Meredith, the list goes on. We have been best friends since birth! She is the kindest, most loving and patient person I know. I grew up being known as the "troublemaker" in the family, Donna (DJ) has always been known for being the sweetheart. She made parenting easy for my parents, whereas I tested them. DJ is one of the best people I know and it truly is an honor to have her stand next to me!
Best Man
My younger brother who grew to be quite a bit taller than me, Donal's been with me for as long as I can remember. He is a master when it comes to hilarious facial expressions and sassy remarks and there's never a dull moment when he's around. Donal brings out more laughter from me than anyone else. I can't count the number of times when we've both been laughing hysterically at an inside joke while others around us look on with concerned and confused glances. He's one of the most goofy people I know, but he's also one of the most loyal and faithful friends I've ever had.
Maid of Honor
K'lla is my oldest sister from another mister, first ever best friend and all-around funnest human being. K'lla is also one of the most talented people I know. She can sing, dance hula, ballet, tap, jazz, and has been in several musicals and plays! She's also become quite the wine connoisseur. We are best known for testing our parents' patience. From our matching outfits to our similar personalities, K'lla has always been known as my twin sister.
Groomsman
Our friendship began over burgers (which he treated me out for on numerous occasions). This was the first of many sacrifices he would make for me over the years. Winfred is a friend who has routinely gone out of his way just for the chance to check in on me and encourage me. Even though I often yawn as he begins an impromptu lermon (lecture+sermon), I'm always grateful for the gentle wisdom he shares. Few others have reflected in both word and deed Christ's heart for sinners like me as Winfred has.
Bridesmaid
My #1 hype woman, my forever brunch date, my concert partner. A few of my favorite memories with Cait includes meals shared during brunch, screaming/singing at Thomas Rhett and Jesse McCartney concerts, and rolling pumpkins around Apple Hill. I loved her from the moment I met her! She is also the smartest person I know with a beautiful servant's heart.
Groomsman
My friendship with Matt began on the basketball court where we would not only hoop together, but we'd often sit and chat for sometimes hours after we were done putting up shots. He's inquisitive, humble, and often asks very thought provoking questions about life and theology. He's one of the most chill guys to be around and one of the best ministry partner's I've been able to serve with.
Bridesmaid
Rebekah! *in Catbug's voice* I have been blessed with so many dear friends in my life, but most especially with Rebekah. We met at CG when she was placed in my small group. If it weren't for the opportunity to meet together at church, we probably wouldn't have been such close friends since our preferences (other than our enjoyment of the occasional Pokémon Go) are kind of opposite. But I am ever so grateful for the Lord and His Goodness for bringing us together! Everyone needs a Rebekah Tom in their life! She has been my accountability partner for years now and never fails to point me back to Christ when I wander.
Groomsman
I've known Justin for a while, but never really knew how weird he was until we became roommates after transferring to SJSU together. He's known for his bizarre laughter, strange food choices, and for getting so excited while he's playing video games that he topples out of his chair. I can't Imagine what my three years in San Jose would have been like if I didn't live with Justin, but I'm sure life would have been much more dull and mundane. All jokes aside, he stood by me and encouraged me during some of my most challenging times. It's been a joy seeing him grow in godliness over the three years we lived together!
Bridesmaid
Venessa has been one of my bestest friends for nearly a decade now after first meeting in middle school. Sharing a love of fashion, we started a FIDM club in high school with her running the show as President! She also was my bodyguard all throughout high school. Her love and light radiates wherever she goes. She loves deeply and is protective of those she cares about. Venessa is one of the most loyal people I know! She has always stood by me and I'm so excited to have her standing with me on one of the most important days of my life!
Groomsman
Out of all my groomsmen, I've known Eli for the shortest amount of time. We met when I moved down to San Jose for school three years ago, but that's been more than enough time to grow close as brothers. Between church, classes together, work, or going to the gym to hoop or lift weights, I'm sure I spent more time with him than most of the guys I shared an apartment with. The best part about Eli is his desire to grow as a faithful believer. He doesn't shy away from tough topics and is transparent, honest, and (contrary to popular belief) is good at offering timely words of encouragement.
Bridesmaid
Kelly and I first met in Walnut Creek through a mutual friend from NorthCreek church. We quickly became inseparable – bonding over our shared love of thrillers and 90s films, desserts and thrifting! After furnishing a home together with late night drives picking up free furniture, it’s safe to say we know each other pretty well. I love Kelly for her huge heart, cheeky sense of humour and ability to find the most of every situation!
Groomsman
My friendship with Spengler (as most of our friends call him) was probably the most unexpected out of this group. I knew him as a frugal yet charismatic hippie/pirate hybrid. His spontaneity threw me off at first but ended up being what brought our friendship to fruition. We've probably logged more hours at Oscars and have consumed more adobada than any other pair at CGBC.
Bridesmaid
Tamalyn is not only my future sister-in-law, but also one of my dearest friends. From the moment we met, she welcomed me into the family and the church with open arms and made me feel right at home! We’ve since bonded over being the eldest sister in our families and the challenges that come with being the guinea pig of the family. She has a great love for music and has a YouTube channel!
Groomsman
I've known Josh for the shortest amount of time but I can say that I haven't been overseas with any of the other guys on this list other than my brother. We got to know each other a bit more during a trip to the Philippines last summer where we endured humidity, sunburns, and lizards crawling around the bathroom while we showered. He is a witty and artistic fellow who I'm looking forward to growing closer to as a brother-in-law.
