Shenandoah Valley is known for the beautiful picturesque wineries. Some of our favorites include: CrossKeys Vineyards(obviously!), Veritas Vineyards & Winery, Hazy Mountain Vineyards & Brewery, Bluestone Vineyard, & Barren Ridge Vineyards.
Shenandoah National Park/ Skyline Drive
This is a must during the Autumn season! The views are absolutely stunning and people come from near and far to see this one of a kind scenery. For a single vehicle it is $30. This fee covers unlimited entry for one vehicle and passengers for seven consecutive days, beginning on the day of purchase.
Luray Caverns
Eastern America’s largest and most popular caverns. 4,000,000 centuries in the making, this “must see” U.S. Natural Landmark is noted for the profuse variety of formations and unsurpassed natural color.
Virginia Scenic Railway
The Virginia Scenic Railway is an exciting way to see Western Virginia by train! They currently offering two excursions, the Alleghany Special and the Blue Ridge Flyer. We prefer the Blue Ridge Flyer route. Each of these excursion tickets includes a meal and dessert selection, plus a beverage served in a complimentary souvenir glass. Advance reservations are encouraged. Tickets typically cost $120/person, but are well worth it!
