We got married at the courthouse in Kansas City on February 21, 2026 with just our parents and a few close friends in attendance. This was a busy time for the both of us with work and other life matters, so we wanted to wait awhile after to plan a formal reception that all of our other friends and family could attend to help us celebrate! We wish you all could have been there for the ceremony, but you were with us in our hearts and it means so much to have you be a part of this equally special day! As Max would say, sante (cheers)!
Max was born in Aix En Provence, France, to Caroline and Stephane Catherine. He grew up golfing with his twin brother Edgar. In the fall of 2017, after graduating high school he came to the U.S. to play college golf at the University of Louisiana Monroe. After spending a year and a half in Louisiana, he transferred to the University of Missouri Kansas City. He graduated from UMKC with a degree in finance and then returned to school for a fifth year of golf and to obtain his masters. Megan was born in Topeka, Kansas, to Kris and Gary Lucas. She grew up playing soccer, basketball, and golf with her older brother, Chance. After graduating high school, she went to the University of Missouri Kansas City in the fall of 2018 to play on the golf team. Going into her sophomore year the team was informed the program was going to be cut. Thus, Megan transferred to Wichita State University for the remainder of her collegiate golf career and earned both her bachelors and masters degree in accounting. The common factor in Max and Megan's stories is UMKC, which is indeed where they met. Both the men's and women's golf teams would spend time together outside of golf, leading the two of them to find each other in the same situation. They continued to stay in touch after Megan moved to Wichita and saw each other on the weekends. Megan moved back to KC after graduating in 2023. The rest is history!
