Diamond Head sits prominently near the eastern edge of Waikiki’s coastline. Hawaii’s most recognized landmark is known for its historic hiking trail, stunning coastal views, and military history. Diamond Head State Monument encompasses over 475 acres, including the interior and outer slopes of the crater. This hike requires reservations. Reservations can be made online on the linked Hawai'i Division of State Parks website.
Hanauma Bay was designated the state’s first Marine Life Conservation District in 1967. Great for those who love snorkeling. Snorkel equipment can be rented on site. Closed Mondays and Tuesdays. $25 entry fee. Hours are 6:45am to 4pm. Tickets may be purchased up to two days in advance starting 7am HST.

Established in 1850, Kualoa is a 4,000-acre private nature reserve and working cattle ranch, as well as a popular visitor attraction and filming location on the windward coast. Kualoa Ranch offers various tours including UTV Raptor tours, zipline tours, and movie site & ranch tours. These can be booked on their website. We recommend booking these tickets a couple weeks in advance.
