We met at IHOP back in 2016 when we both worked there as servers. Jamal was already a server and Bing was still in training. I was 9 months pregnant with Chapter, everyone was at our baby shower and we decided to play a "guess the hand" game. I had no idea that Jamal was about to propose like AT ALL. Towards the end of the game when I thought I guessed his hand everyone told me to take the blind folds off and I said "wait, the game isn't finished." I took the blind fold off and seen Jamal on one knee with my dream ring in his hand. From that day on I said "I do" to forever

On a beautiful Sunday morning at 6:55 AM, after 24 hours of labor we welcomed the biggest blessing of our lives, Chapter Carter. Everyone who's a parent knows just how challenging parenthood can be. With the many obstacles, comes with one of the most rewarding feeling in the world. We are raising a beautiful baby boy who will one day get on one knee for the girl of his dreams.
