If you received a save the date in the mail, you will receive a formal invitation in summer 2020.
The ceremony will begin at 4 pm. Please arrive by 3:45 pm.
Have you ever been to a wedding where someone's uncle stood in the aisle to take photos or put his phone over his head? We have, and as guests trying to see our friends get married, we thought it was annoying. As a courtesy to other guests and our photographer, no photography (cell phone or otherwise) will be allowed during the wedding ceremony. Sit back and enjoy with your own eyes and the photographer will capture the rest.
We are registered at Zola instead of several different stores. It is a fabulous WOC-founded, queer friendly business! To visit our registry, click here: https://www.zola.com/wedding/thecartans/registry
Although we love your little ones, both the ceremony and reception will be open only to guests aged 15 or older. Thanks for understanding!
Due to budget and venue constraints, we cannot accommodate plus ones we don't know personally. Sorry!
Both the wedding ceremony and reception will be conveniently located at a venue near the Brooklyn waterfront. There will be a brief intermission to transition the space, when we'll take photos outside. Take a few moments to stroll around the corner and see the Brooklyn Bridge, as well as the scenic Manhattan skyline!
Dinner will be catered by Pies 'n Thighs, a local favorite of ours. Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options are available upon request. Please note any dietary restrictions in your RSVP so we can notify the caterers.
We will be hosting an open bar, so don't worry about bringing cash for drinks or gratuity.
We wanted this wedding to support our shared values and communities. Our vendors are women, people of color, LGBTQIA, or some combination of the above!
