Carlos and Stephanie were introduced by mutual friends. She was living in Dallas, TX while going to nursing school, and he was visiting from Colorado. Her friends easily convinced her to go out with them that weekend, and it was there that she met Carlos. A few brief conversations later and he knew that he had to ask for her number. After several months of getting to know each other over the phone, Carlos flew back to Dallas to take Stephanie out on a real date. They decided to make their relationship official in October, and survived the long distance until Carlos romantically moved to Texas so that they could finally be together.. the rest is history!

Carlos spent months secretly planning the big day with the help of their best friends and family. Carlos and Stephanie had recently moved to her hometown in The Rio Grande Valley. Carlos’ family was coming to visit them in their new home, so of course they planned to show them the best part—the beach! They spent the day at South Padre Island enjoying a mid-day boat ride and lunch. They met up with Stephanie’s family on the beach and went for a walk by the water. She caught on when everyone started lingering behind and Carlos was looking a little nervous. He led her to a heart made of candles and rose petals, with some of her favorite photos of them on display. He told her that he loved her, then he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him.
