Where are wedding guests staying?

Answer

The entire wedding party and majority of wedding guests will be staying in Savannah’s Historic District (zip code: 31401). There are a multitude of hotels and AirBnB's in this area, and most of everything is within walking distance or a short Uber.

I can't find the hotel with room blocks for wedding guests.

Answer

Due to the increasing amount of cost effective short-term rental options (AirBnB, Vrbo, Tripping,com, FlipKey, HouseTrip, etc.), we decided not book the 20 non-refundable rooms at a minimum three night stay required by the various hotels located within Savannah. However, we set up a Facebook messenger group chat for our guests that would like to connect with other guests regarding lodging during our wedding weekend. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Please directly contact the Bride or Groom with any questions.

Where do I park?

Answer

You are highly suggested to walk, Uber, or drive to The Clyde Venue from 4-5pm before the ceremony. Private Trolley transportation will be provided from The Clyde to the ceremony and back for the reception. Otherwise, we suggest that you Uber, Lyft, taxi, etc. directly to the Fountain at Forsyth Park. If you need to park your vehicle close to the event locations, we suggest that you park at the Savannah Visitor Center (301 Martin Luther King Blvd.), which is across the street from the reception location at The Clyde Venue. Monday-Saturday from 8:00 am - 6:30 pm the first hour is free, thereafter $1.00 per hour, and free after 6:30 pm. Free parking on Sundays. You may also find available street parking around the reception venue.

How do I get to the reception at The Clyde Venue from the ceremony location at the Fountain at Forsyth Park?

Answer

Wedding guests will be provided with private trolley transportation from the Fountain at Forsyth Park to The Clyde Venue after the ceremony.

I have a dietary restriction and/or food allergy.

Answer

Please contact the Bride or Groom directly in order to make arrangements for the rehearsal and/or reception dinner(s). Also, please contact the Bride or Groom directly for any accessibility concerns on our wedding day.

Question

I/we do not want to book a hotel, and are looking for rental share options.

Answer

The Bride and Groom have set up a Facebook messenger group chat for our wedding guests to connect with other wedding guests looking to book a short-term rental for the wedding weekend. The group name is “Kat & Jacob’s Wedding Weekend Rental Share”. Please contact the Bride or Groom directly if you cannot locate or access the group.

Question

I can no longer attend the Welcome Trolley Tour and/or Farewell Brunch, but I responded that I was attending on my RSVP.

Answer

Please contact the Bride or Groom ASAP. These events are prepaid after all the RSVP cards are returned. Your non-attendance does not provide us with a refund. We appreciate your attention to this matter.

Question

I sent my RSVP to attend the wedding, but I and/or my significant other can no longer attend.

Answer

Please contact the Bride or Groom immediately. The RSVP deadline (9/1/2021) signifies our deadline regarding the final count of our wedding guests, and we will not be refunded for absentee guests. Your attention to this matter is appreciated.

Question

The reception has ended and I can’t find my purse/phone/ pants/bra/shoe/ toupee/wedding favor/ dignity/etc.

Answer

The wedding will be/was documented by multiple professional and amateur photographers, therefore, you may never regain your dignity. You have been forewarned! However, all remaining items will be collected—if found. The Bride and Groom will also pick up all remaining personal wedding items the day after, including forgotten wedding favors. Should you choose to not stop the party after the wedding (go you!), please write your name on the favor list and we will mail them to you.
