It was the summer of 2013. Vincent was a sophomore, and I was a freshman in high school. We had mutual friends but somehow didn’t even know the other existed at first. Every morning before class, we’d pass each other in the halls, exchanging quick hellos without thinking much of it. Eventually, we started spending time with the same group of friends hanging out and doing the usual crazy, spontaneous things teens do. Back then, there was no romantic interest between us just two people in the same friend group, living life and making memories. What we didn’t know at the time was that over the next decade, life would take us through many changes: growing up, facing challenges, celebrating milestones, and discovering who we were becoming. Somewhere along the way, that simple friendship turned into something much deeper. After years of laughter, shared memories, and standing by each other through life’s ups and downs, we realized that the person who had been there all along was the one we were meant to spend forever with. We can’t wait to begin this next chapter of our lives together and celebrate this special moment with you.
