Thanks, Chispa!

They always said “don’t talk to strangers online”… so naturally, I went ahead and fell in love with one.

We both had absolutely no business being on a dating app—especially him, considering it was for Latinos and this man barely knew how to say “hola” without sounding like Google Translate buffering. But one little swipe right turned into weeks of nonstop texting and FaceTiming like we were in a long-distance relationship… without the distance. At some point it just became part of the routine—good morning texts, random check-ins, and falling asleep on FaceTime like teenagers. Then came the first date: this man showed up with a dozen roses AND opened the car door like he was auditioning for “Best Boyfriend of the Year.” Immediate green flag. We did tacos and a movie—basically my dream combo—so at that point, I was already halfway planning our wedding in my head and picking out baby names (don’t judge me). Fast forward ONE week later (yes, one… I moved efficiently), he met my parents. Not only did he bring me roses, but he also brought a dozen for my mom AND my grandma. Sir??? At that point, it wasn’t a question—it was a done deal. The man didn’t just win me over, he secured the entire family like a group project and made sure everyone got an A+. Somewhere between the laughter, the late-night calls, and the way he kept showing up with so much love and intention, I realized this wasn’t just luck… this was everything I had prayed for. The kind of love that feels easy, safe, and a little bit magical all at once. I prayed for a love like this, and God really said, “say less.” And somehow, out of all the people in the world, I found my forever in a man who accidentally ended up on the wrong dating app… and still managed to find exactly where he belonged 🤍
