After four years together, we took a trip to Paris over the summer. For a couple months, Chris had been wanting to take a trip out of the country since he had never been. After a fiasco of lost luggage, clothes shopping in a different language, and adjusting to the new time zone, he popped the question the second morning there with the Eiffel Tower perfectly placed in the background.
First and foremost, thank you for all your understanding! To say 2020 was a crazy year would be an understatement. We initially postponed our date to 2022 because of COVID and we didn’t want anyone traveling or coming to a large event for your safety and our own. So, the plan was to have an intimate ceremony with our immediate family on our date so we could be married! Good news: that went as planned. However, we found out that the venue we had selected for our big, perfect dream wedding to celebrate with all of you got sold to the local government, thereby cancelling our event. Don’t despair! Thanks to the hard work of Chris and Cheri (Katie’s mom), we were able to find an absolutely stunning new venue in Parrish, FL! (Bonus: there are hotel options on the water) However, due to the coronavirus, couples like us postponed to 2022, and couples who got engaged in 2020 booked weddings for 2022 to be safe, so our date was gone! Thankfully, the venue we fell in love with did have just one date available in January of 2022: the 23rd. So, we snatched that up! The third time is the charm here, and we promise (hopefully) that no more changes come our way!
