Are there other events I should attend this weekend?

Answer

Yes! We’ll have a welcome party the night before at Austin Street Brewery and an after party at Gritty McDuff’s following the reception. We encourage everyone to attend!

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The day will be outdoors. The reception will be tented.

What is the dress code?

Answer

Dress up but stay cool and comfortable. Think long, summery, breezy dresses, linen suits, and soft, natural colors.

Is there a room block?

Answer

Yes, we have a block at the Hyatt Place in Old Port Square with a two-night minimum (Friday and Saturday). Check the Hotel tab for details. There are also other hotels, Airbnbs, and VRBOs in the area depending on your needs and budget.

Is transportation provided? Is there parking on-site?

Answer

Yes! Guests staying at the Hyatt Place in Old Port Square can use a series of free shuttles to and from the venue. The venue also has parking, and Uber/Lyft are available in the area.

Shuttles leave from the Hyatt at 1:40 PM and 1:50 PM.

This is an adults-only evening (21+). Kids are invited to join us at the welcome party the night before.

Your invitation will indicate if you have a guest included.

We’re registered at Zola. Cash gifts for our honeymoon and home renovations are also appreciated – Christina is a picky gift receiver!

What should we do in the area?

Answer

Portland has a fantastic food and shopping scene—definitely explore if you have time. Be sure to try the breweries and bakeries—they’re some of our favorites! State parks, beaches, and the Portland Head Light are all also in the area.

Is it okay to take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We ask that no photos be taken during the ceremony, but please feel free to take photos during cocktail hour and the reception. We’d love for you to share them HERE: https://bit.ly/4xQI4Ml so we can relive the weekend together!

Will cash be needed for bar tips?

Answer

We’ve already tipped bartenders and servers at Austin Street and Inn by the Sea for the open bars. Bringing cash for Gritty McDuff’s may be a good idea.
