We’re getting married!

Jacob and I shared our first kiss when I was in 8th grade! After playing hard to get for a few months, I decided it was time to give the poor boy a chance and invited him over to watch a movie at my best friend's house. The movie quickly came to an end and it was time to say our goodbyes... that’s when he made THE move. It was right there on Hope Moon’s front porch where we shared our first (but certainly not our last) KISS!! Once I got to high school, we went our separate ways. He had his group of friends and I had mine. Plus, I didn’t think it was “cool” to date a boy from Holland. (Silly me!) I was 16 years old when I experienced my first bad break up. Just like any 16 year old girl would, I thought my life was over! Little did I know it was just beginning! God brought Jacob back into my life at the perfect time. He showed me my worth and taught me what true, genuine love really is. He is the perfect example of the love God has for me! After my high school graduation, we made the brave decision to move to College Station where he worked and I went to school for four years. I couldn’t have done this without him by my side. He is an encourager and believer in my dreams. Not to mention, the most unwavering support system! 5 years 3 months and 12 days later, he FINALLY decided to put a ring on it! 14 year old me had no idea that one day that little boy on the front porch would ask me to be his wife, but here I am and I am soooo ready! He is the man I want to raise children with, grow old with, and hold hands with forever. I am so incredibly blessed that God chose ME.
