Ty & Laura met in the winter of 2015 at Radford University through a campus ministry called Chi Alpha. Laura became very close with his sister Taylor over coffee and Bible journaling. Over the course of the next few years a deep friendship was developed between Laura and the Cannaday siblings. Laura's Story: My friendship with Ty & Taylor truly shaped me during my college years. They both spoke so much encouragement when I was faced with issues in my life. I'll have to admit I had bit of a crush on Ty, but never told him (even though it was pretty obvious). I always told myself, "I would rather have him in my life as a friend than nothing at all." My appreciation grew for the friend he was to others and man he was becoming. Over the years I saw his heart for people grow and his love for Jesus deepen. I knew the girl he chose would be lucky... who knew it would be me! Ty's Story: Laura was by far the coolest girl I had ever met. We had all the same interests and hobbies and loved to be together. So I decided to make her my best friend instead of girlfriend for 4 years. I soon realized that if I wanted to have Laura in my life forever, she couldn't just be my best friend, I would have to wife her up. The Lord took the friendship He had built and used it as the foundation for what turned into quite the love story if you ask me. It didn't take us long to realize that what we had was special and that it was something that we wanted forever. I know Laura thinks she is the lucky one, but I would say the lucky one is the guy who decided to friendzone his future wife for 4 years and still managed to come out with her as his bride. What a beautiful picture this has been of the Lord's redemption and perfect timing. And this is just the start!
