We were only 18 when we met. Two kids trying to make the most of college, yet never expecting that a few ordinary moments would turn into something absolutely extraordinary! It started like a lot of college stories do; we were surrounded by friends, immersing ourselves in music and Greek life, and also managing to enjoy a little chaos every now and then. For a while, we were just part of the same circle, crossing paths without really realizing what was waiting for us. Then one day, our friends planned a hike, and somehow we ended up walking a few steps behind everyone else. We talked the entire way, not about anything particularly important, but it felt… different… and easy. It felt like the start of something special, but what? By the time we reached the end of the trail, we both knew that everything had changed. It seemed quick and simple, this connection, but what started as a spark had turned into something undeniable. From that day on, it has always been the two of us. We grew up together, learning who we were, who we want to be, and who we are becoming. We’ve celebrated milestones, navigated challenges, and built a life filled with laughter, adventure, and love that feels stronger with every passing year. Through school, the pandemic, new jobs, new homes, puppy-parenting our beautiful baby Korra, and all the little in-between moments that make up our lives, we’ve always found our greatest happiness in each other. Now, here we are, almost seven years later, grateful and so full of love, planning to say “I do”! And somewhere, those 18-year-old versions of us are smiling; because even then, we knew we’d end up here.
