FAQs

Question

What should we expect at a New Orleans cocktail-style wedding reception?

Answer

A New Orleans cocktail style wedding reception has no assigned seating or plated dinner. After the first dances, the food stations and the dance floor will open. Eat when you’re hungry, dance when you’re moved, and sit wherever you’d like!

Question

What is a "Second Line"?

Answer

A second line is a vibrant New Orleans tradition where a brass band leads a parade of guests, with the "first line" being the couple and the band, and the "second line" being everyone else dancing and celebrating behind them. We’re excited to share that we’ll have a second line at the end of our reception! Together, we’ll parade to a nearby bar to kick off the after-party.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to limited space, we kindly ask that only those listed on the invitation attend. Thank you for your understanding!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask our guests to arrive between 4:30 PM and 4:50 PM to ensure you are seated and ready as the ceremony will begin promptly at 5:00 PM.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes, the dress code is Black Tie Optional. We kindly encourage guests to dress formally, such as in a tuxedo or a gown. We’re excited to celebrate with you in style!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, we’ve decided to make our wedding an adults-only celebration (21+).

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

We won’t be providing transportation to or from the hotels. We recommend planning ahead by using rideshare services or arranging a taxi for your convenience.
