Who would've thought that a trip to the Indianapolis 500 would lead Kati to her dream guy? When Ryan and Kati both swiped right, little did they know, it would lead to their future together. With Ryan living in Indianapolis and Kati still living in Lexington, Ryan and Kati had their first date meeting halfway between the two cities, at a Red's Game in Cincinnati. When Kati moved to Nashville to pursue her career in teaching, the couple decided that their love was worth the distance so Ryan and Kati spent the next 3 years traveling up and down Interstate 65 to see each other almost every weekend. In May of 2019, the two agreed to become roommates and finally live in the same city. Kati found a middle school teaching position just 5 minutes from Ryan's house and the two started their future, finally together. In November, 2020, on a perfect Saturday in Cincinnati, Ryan "tricked" Kati into thinking they were going on a tour of the Cincinnati Reds' Stadium. Little did Kati know that a walk on the river would turn into a perfect engagement and a "Yes!" to spending the rest of their lives together. But it didn't end there. After an hour with a photographer helping them capture the moment, the two traveled into the city to Kati's favorite restaurant, Bru Burger, where she was surprised with their closest family and friends to celebrate their engagement with them. It was the most perfect day. About a year and a half after their engagement, the happy couple will celebrate their wedding day on June 11, 2022 with all of their family and friends. They cannot wait to share their special day with those who mean the most to them!
