FAQs

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We are excited to see our guests dressed up with us! The dress code for our wedding is black tie optional, meaning tuxedos or suits with ties, and floor length dresses. We will also be outdoors for part of the evening, and walking over grass, so plan accordingly for shoes and light jackets.

Question

Can I bring a plus one or kids?

Answer

Due to limited space, we can only accommodate the guests listed on your invitation. If your invitation is addressed to your family, the RSVP will note the specific names invited, as well as any plus ones. If you’re unsure, please don’t hesitate to reach out, we’re happy to clarify!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please plan to arrive beginning at 4:30pm for a welcome drink in the Arboretum before finding your seat. Our ceremony will begin promptly at 5:00pm.

Question

What about transportation? Where can I park?

Answer

There is parking available at the Arboretum. The area does have ample Uber and Lyft options as well if you would prefer to take advantage of the open bar!

Question

What's the history of Curtis Arboretum?

Answer

Curtis Hall, originally built in 1893 as a music ballroom on the country estate of publishing magnate Cyrus Curtis, is today a gorgeously restored event space featuring hand-painted period murals, dual lounges, and a festive clear-top tent over the paving stone courtyard. The remainder of the estate became the surrounding Curtis Arboretum, a forty-five acre public greenspace of trees, rolling lawns, ornamental gardens, and water features, all designed by Frederick Law Olmsted (of Central Park fame).
