On January 20, 2021 Nathan and Madeline went on their first date. They both had decided to meet at the Zuhaus Coffee Shop, which wasn’t close to either of their homes, but decided to go anyway. It was still required to wear a mask and stand six feet apart, so they knew it would be hard to notice each other. Madeline arrived first, and Nathan shortly after that. Madeline instantly recognized Nathan from his hair and ran to the bathroom to text and see if it was really him. Their first date only lasted a couple of hours, but they both knew something special was happening. From their first date they knew they wanted to be side by side, even in the restaurant booths. In the over 5 years of being together, Madeline and Nathan have visited many different places together, adopted 2 dogs and a cat, and changed career paths. No one knew what a conversation over coffee would bring to them.
