Question

What should I wear?

Answer

We would love to see our favorite people get dressed up for our big day! We request our guests to be in cocktail or formal dress. No jeans. Please stay away from wearing any creams or whites, spring colors are encouraged. Keep your eye on the weather, STL in March could mean anything. See above for some inspo!

Question

Are we getting married in the Catholic faith?

Answer

We know some of you may be wondering about our decision not to have a Catholic wedding ceremony with you all – so we wanted to share a bit of our journey. Our faith is incredibly important to us, and yes, our ultimate plan is to be married in the Catholic Church. Early in our engagement, we began the process by requesting a dispensation for one of the canonical forms, writing directly to the STL Archbishop. Unfortunately, that request was not granted. We then reached out to several churches in hopes of celebrating the sacrament there, but were unable to move forward since we weren’t parishioners. After much prayer and discussion, we made the decision to share vows with everyone outside of the faith. It wasn’t a decision we took lightly. We do plan to have a smaller Catholic ceremony in our home parish in Texas, where we can fully live out our sacramental commitment together. We’re grateful for your love, support, and understanding as we begin our marriage with hope, joy, and faith at the center.

Question

Is there an open bar?

Answer

DUH! Drinks are on us, hangover is on you. Please keep in mind your driving situation. Be mindful of the Ubers and Lyfts in the area.

Question

What's the parking like?

Westwind Hills has a paved lot right outside the venue. There should be enough parking for everyone. We recommend scheduling your Uber/Lyft rides. If you need to leave your car at the venue overnight, you must pick it up on Sunday by noon.
