Black Tie Optional means you're welcome to dress formally, but a tuxedo isn’t required. For women: Long dresses or formal cocktail dresses in darker tones are perfect. Heels or dressy flats work great — just keep in mind the ceremony will be held on grass, so block heels or wedges are a smart choice. For men: A dark-colored suit and tie is ideal (think black, charcoal, or navy). Dark colors are preferred to match the moody aesthetic of the day.
