Despite Danielle’s plan to remain single when moving back to Chicago from Columbus in the summer of 2020, Danielle agreed to go on a date with Bob when she ran into Bob’s brother Brad at a party. Brad’s grand idea of setting the two up was almost halted when he realized that he did not have Danielle’s number, but with the help of their mutual friend Chris, the rest was history. Bob remembered Danielle from their high school summer working together at the Midlothian Country Club pool (they never spoke) and was intrigued to see how the waitress who used to ask him to clean up her spilled drinks became a pharmacist. The two met for their first date at Recess in the West Loop, and after nearly 4 hours together (we all know Bob is never short of words), agreed to go on a second date. The dates continued and the two soon spent their time going to their favorite spots in Wicker Park, traveling to friends’ weddings, planning parties, and falling for each other while they grew closer each day. Danielle slowly began moving her things into Bob’s apartment until one day Bob was surprised to find that her clothes completely took over his closet and Bravo was the TV channel of choice. Despite her refusing to ever admit to enjoying football or attempting to learn what a first down was, he knew right then that his life had changed for the better with Danielle. As Danielle’s knowledge of sports grew and Bob lost more and more space to hair products and blow dryers, they became certain that they wanted to spend their lives together. To Danielle’s surprise, Bob proposed over coffee on their deck (their favorite spot to spend time together) on September 24, 2022. The two have spent the last year and a half preparing with their families to celebrate with all of you, including Danielle ignoring Bob’s legal comments on the vendor contracts and Bob ignoring pretty much everything else. All kidding aside, Danielle and Bob are elated to spend their wedding weekend with their closest family and friends and can’t wait to celebrate with everyone on April 27, 2024!
