For the ceremony please arrive at Ascension Lutheran Church by 12:45pm, the ceremony will start promptly at 1pm. The cocktail hour will begin at 6pm at the St. Louis Art Museum. Forest Park will be hosting it's annual Balloon Glow during this time so please allow yourself extra time to navigate through traffic.
The majority of the event will be indoors. The ceremony will take place indoors at Ascension Lutheran Church. We have rented out the patio of the Art Museum where the cocktail hour will take place. The reception festivities will be held indoors in the main hall of the Art Museum, but guests will still have access to the patio throughout the event.
Forest Park will be hosting their annual Balloon Glow the day of the wedding, so there will be a lot of traffic in the park. To avoid the higher traffic areas of the park please enter through the Wells Drive entrance off of Skinker Blvd.
For the ceremony there is only street parking around the church. For the reception we have reserved the parking garage underneath the St. Louis Art Museum. There is no cost for guests to park in the garage.
The St. Louis Art Museum is open to the public until 5pm. You are able to view all the galleries in the museum until 5pm. Guests will not be allowed in the museum from 5pm-6pm. Starting at 6pm we will only have one of the side galleries available for guests to view during the reception.
We have chosen a semi-formal dress code, so you can look your best without feeling too overdressed or underdressed. For women a cocktail dress, a knee-length or midi dress, or a chic jumpsuit are all great options. For men a suit and tie is a classic choice, but if you prefer something a little more relaxed, a well-fitted blazer with dress trousers is also perfect. A dress shirt and a tie are a must, but feel free to skip the formal vest or bow tie.
