Our Story

Not Rushed, but Refined

Before we ever met, there was already a quiet longing in both of our hearts. The kind of longing that teaches you how to wait, trust, and surrender timing to God. After seasons of growth, healing, and learning to rely fully on Him, we both prayed for a relationship that would reflect Christ at the center. When we connected through a dating app, neither of us expected that one conversation would change everything. That first phone call that lasted over two and a half hours, every word felt intentional, honest, and covered in peace. It felt less like strangers meeting and more like God gently unfolding something He had already written. Just 20 days later, Andrew flew across the country to meet in person, stepping into each other’s worlds, meeting family, friends, and church, God began to confirm what He had already been growing in both of our hearts. From the very beginning, our relationship was never built in isolation, it was surrounded by faith, prayer, community, and the people we love most. In the middle of the unknown, God gave us certainty. What began long distance quickly became a love marked by patience, prayer, friendship, and deep intentionality. Our relationship has reminded us so much of the posture of the Bride of Christ, waiting with expectation, longing with hope, and trusting fully in the One who writes the story. Distance has taught us endurance. Waiting taught us surrender. And love taught us that what is rooted in Christ only grows deeper with time. Through every airport goodbye, every late-night conversation, and every moment apart, God continued to strengthen our bond and reminded us that real love is not rushed, but it is refined. In many ways, our story became a reflection of the love Jesus shows His people: faithful, patient, pursuing, and worth the wait. We are incredibly grateful that God crossed our paths and brought two people from different places together to build one life centered on Him. After we say “I do,” we will be establishing our forever in Texas, beginning a new chapter of life together as husband and wife. With God at the center, we look forward to building a home rooted in faith, love, and purpose. “I have found the one whom my soul loves.” — Song of Solomon 3:4
