To all of our guests, due to the Coronavirus and all the craziness in this world, we have had no choice but to change our wedding date. We plan to get officially married (finally!!) and celebrate with our immediate family only this year in September. We hope that you will join us next year on Friday, September 17th, 2021 for our formal ceremony and reception. All plans for those events will stay the same - same place, same time, same dance floor, just happening next year! We can't wait to celebrate our one-year wedding anniversary surrounded by all of our family and friends in 2021. Formal invites and RSVPs will be sent out next year as we get closer to the date. Thank you so much for your understanding and support as we work our way through these challenging times.
Brad and Lizzy met 10 years ago through mutual friends. It was the summer before heading off to Mizzou for their Freshman year of College. Brad was on crutches after having ACL surgery and Lizzy fell for his cute smile and green eyes. Coincidentally, the two of them ended up living in the same dorm, even on the same floor! Their relationship grew as they conquered life at Mizzou together, tailgates and all! Brad and Lizzy survived a long distance (a whole 2 hours) relationship together for a while until Lizzy moved back home from Columbia to St. Louis. After living with their parents for a few months, the two decided it was time to move into their first apartment! They lived there for three years, enjoying cooking together, traveling, and making great memories with friends and family.
Brad and Lizzy took their first trip together to Gulf Shores, Alabama in May of 2017. They wanted some time to relax and get away for a while and that's exactly what they did! One morning, Brad suggested they go out to watch the sunrise (shocking, I know!), but he had something big planned.. As they sat listening to the waves and watching the sunrise, Lizzy looked off into the distance, Brad reached into his pocket and pulled out a little box. Lizzy turned around and there he is - smiling, staring into her eyes, with the ring in his hand. Lizzy was in shock but of course answered, YES! Two months from the day of our wedding.. we find out that our venue will not allow the event to happen due to the Coronavirus. After some heartbreak, we worked on figuring out our new date, just a little bit later and it all came together very quickly. We have conquered so much together in 9 years so what's a couple of months longer?!
