As every fairy tale begins, it all started in the chiropractors office. Alex went in to get his back fixed and there Rebekah was. A beautiful princess behind the welcome desk. Alex took one look at Rebekah and knew he had to go for it and lucky for him, she was willing to say yes! and the rest, is well... History!
I had it all planned out... Mostly. We stared the day with both sets of parents, Rebekah's grandparents and her brother gathered at the house for a family lunch. We all gathered outside on the back deck for a drink and I did my best to muster as much courage as I could, nervously playing with the ring in my pocket. I hoped she would say yes but always wondered if she would in real life. As everyone talked and laughed I walked behind Rebekah while giving the very subtle signal to her mom and mine to start taking secret photos. I dropped down to one knee and began my question with "Honey, I have a Question'" A phrase that I used often with her, much to her annoyance which prompted to her to roll her eyes and her head back to look at me with the "what do you want now" eyes. after realising that I was actually proposing, she's quickly changed her expression to one of "I knew it!" As I stammered my way through the proposal fighting massive butterflies, I got to the end of it and asked the big question "will you marry me?" To which she replied "of course I will".
