The countdown until our forever is on.

Even though we kind of knew each other in high school, it wasn't until after we both graduated that we re-met and sparks really flew. Back in 2015, Becca and I were working at the Quality Inn & Suites in East Troy. One brisk day, Becca mentioned that her Dad and brother were coming to clear out the inground sprinkler system for the hotel. At the time, I really didn't think much of it. It was before lunchtime and we were on the second-floor cleaning rooms, Becca wasn't partnered with me that day, but we were cleaning and I went out to the hallway to grab something from the maid's cart. Those of you who know me well, know that I am very clumsy and trip over my own two feet A LOT. This wasn't a rare occurrence, but it happened that day. As I was by the door frame leading to the hallway, I tripped over what B calls a ghost hole and land on my face, looking up face extremely red stands Steve, Jeff, and Becca. I didn't know what to do so I crawled to the maids' cart, grabbed what I needed, and crawled back in the room. I was so embarrassed that I fell in front of someone who looked so cute but also familiar. It wasn't till after a few deep breaths and the girl I was working with asking me what's wrong that I blurted out I fell in front of a really cute guy. Around lunch that day, I come to realize it was Becca's brother. That my version of how we re-met, Steve likes to say I fell for him and in many ways I did, But he also always found a way to help me back up to my feet when I need him. If you ask Becca and Jeff their account of the day though, it is pretty funny. Apparently I have good timing when it comes to falling.

I went to go get a job painting at the Quality Inn and Suites, Little did I know who my sister worked with was going to be the love of my life one day. She told me her name, but it didn't ring a bell. Until we walked up the stairs and Hannah tripped out the doorway, I finally knew who she was. After I went home, I really didn't think much of what just happened, until Becca came home and told me that Hannah thought I was cute. I decided to keep my eyes on this one and see what happens. Little did I know that after a haunted house trip (and by trip I literally mean she fell AGAIN inside the haunted house) that I would ask her out to dinner for wings (even though I found out later on that she doesn't really like wings, she agreed to go out with me). Over the years Hannah has literally fallen for me several times, and I couldn't ask for more. I just feel so lucky to have her in my life.

After being together for 3 years, Steven proposed. It was our 3 year Anniversary and Steve can't keep secrets. Our anniversary falls in October when school is in session so we typically just have a nice dinner together. That year, Steve decided to make dinner but kept acting strange. I figured something was wrong, so I kept asking what's wrong, are you okay, etc.. Finally Steve got sick of me asking, turns out he just didn't know how to ask me. After pestering him enough he went to get something, then came back and said this. Being Naive like I am, I insisted that he ask me on one knee, even if we were just in the Platteville house kitchen, It was the most "us" proposal ever and I loved every second of it.
