Jamie had all but thrown in the towel, ready for the life of the fun aunt when she went on her adult spring break trip with her friends in April 2023. Her friends encouraged her to get back on the apps and just try “one more time” and with a little help, decided to start swiping. Well 2 days into the trip, Jamie gets a match and goes with her standard “you’re going down the snack aisle what do you grab” bumble line and the rest is history. For the rest of the trip, Jamie and Sam messaged and texted constantly. Finding common interests, life views, values etc. Sam profile said “I don’t want to wait weeks to see someone” so Jamie made it known she was in Jamaica so if Sam wanted to see her, he would have to wait. After about 2 weeks of talking, they finally met in person. After a few drinks, instead of saying goodbye, they continued to a second location and ended the night with a kiss goodbye. The parking spot in a garage that Sam swears he still can identify. After the first date, Sam went home to Ohio for a week, but the texts and FaceTimes continued. Once he was back, they would continue to see eachother more frequently and eventually Sam, knowing Jamie made it VERY clear she refused to be in a situationship again, asked her to be his girlfriend in May 2023. After a mini panic from Jamie the next day, thinking it was too fast, things found a harmony.

They moved into together in August of 2023, joined by their two dogs, Finnegan and Koda, in 900 sq. Ft. If anyone can live that close together and still be breathing, they are made for eachother. On July 19th 2024, Sam convinced Jamie to go on a picnic and play the game of life; which she replied “there are so many damn pieces for a picnic.” Little did she know, when she stopped at the marriage space, Sam was standing there with a ring. They are now so excited to celebrate their love with their favorite people!
