Question

Where are the ceremony and reception taking place?

Answer

The ceremony is taking place at St. Joseph’s Church, 600 State Street, Schenectady, NY 12305. The reception will take place at The Edison Downtown, 132 N Broadway, Schenectady, NY 12305. It is roughly a four minute drive (0.7 miles) from one to the other. We will have a Wade Tours bus for those at the hotel that will bring guests to the church, reception, and back to the hotel at the end of the night.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire. Ladies should wear cocktail dresses, and the gentlemen should wear a suit and tie. It will most likely be cold in November, so please dress warm!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Our wedding is by RSVP only. We will only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP as soon as you know if you will be able to attend, but by October 11 at the latest!

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is parking for the ceremony behind St. Joseph’s Church, and for the reception across the street from The Edison Downtown. We will have a Wade Tours bus for those at the hotel that will bring guests to the church, reception, and back to the hotel at the end of the night.

Question

Does the hotel have a shuttle?

Answer

We will have a Wade Tours bus for those at the hotel that will bring guests to the church, from the church to the reception, and back to the hotel at the end of the night.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love your little ones! However, to allow all of our guests, including parents, the chance to have an evening of relaxation, we request that the ceremony and reception be for adults only.

Question

What should I do if I can’t make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony begins at 3:00 pm, so it would be best to arrive by 2:45 pm.

Question

Are the ceremony and reception location wheelchair accessible?

Answer

Yes! St. Joseph’s Church is all one level, and The Edison Downtown is equipped with elevators.

Question

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, the wedding party will be taking pictures for around an hour. Guests are welcome to head to The Edison Downtown where there will be drinks and food for Cocktail hour.
