Two People Walk into an Elevator...

So mid-April 2010 two stranger walk into an elevator at their office...literally, this is how we kinda met! It was the start of both our lunch breaks (separate of course). I was on the hunt for Chipotle (my fav) and he needed his daily sweet tea from McDonald's. We left the building at the same time and came back at the same time...still completely oblivious of each other. It wasn't until some of our new co-workers decided to joke with us about newbies buying lunch that we even paid each other attention. However short-lived laughter created in that elevator ride, our attention spans didn't last much longer than the laughs in there and we both went back to our desks...still strangers. A week or so and my co-worker was introducing me to people on the floor and then I met Harold. I know what you're thinking...love at first sight. NOPE! Our sparks and butterflies were on vacation for months. Some people have all of the luck I tell ya. We did manage to strike up a friendship (even if most of it was just me talking non-stop) :) Anywho, fast-forward again and he'd ask me to be his girlfriend mid-September 2010. I figured what the heck and we've been on this crazy eventful, tipsy-topsy hurricane of a journey ever since!

The Proposal

I Don't Want to do This Anymore

Thursday, December 29, 2016... It all started with one simple question...Harold asked me "Want to go to dinner tonight?" Naturally I take that moment to go super mushy on him, complete with "Awww you want to take me on a date!" Quickly followed by "Absolutely!" We left the house too late to go where he initially wanted, but settled on one of our favorite places..THE CHEESECAKE FACTORY!As usual our date night was full of laughter, jokes, people watching and the occasional quiet moments to play whatever game preoccupied our time before FOOD! We ate, we drank and we were merry! As we were getting up to leave, we both put on our coats and then Harold said something that changed my world forever...I CAN'T DO THIS ANYMORE! The first words out of my mouth were, "Are you breaking up with me? After we just had an awesome dinner? *I completely ignored the whole we just bought our forever house a few months prior.Harold says, "No the opposite," gets down on one knee and asks "Will you marry me?!I don't think I have ever laughed and cried so hard in my life! I was so overjoyed I answered him clearly on the way home. The entire ride consisted of me grinning ear to ear saying "you got me good" all the while staring at my ring finger :) It was perfect, unique and everything I could ever dream of!
