Hanna and James met in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic! Despite us meeting for the first time all masked up and diligently (sometimes not-so-diligently) giving each other six feet of space, we connected instantly during our first date walking through SU's campus carrying take-out bubble tea from Unique Tea House, swapping stories about our Christian faith, shared Korean heritage, and work in the international education industry. On top of social distancing, we endured through literal, geographical distancing as Hanna works and lives in Oswego and James being an hour away in Syracuse. After a year of meeting once a week (at first outdoors in parks because, again, COVID) turned twice a week turned thrice a week turned every other day (now no more COVID between us at least!), we've decided we've got to be together all 24 hours 7 days a week! We got married in Korea first on the same date that we are going to invite everyone to our official wedding reception! Since we didn’t get a chance to meet our friends in-person and share details about our relationship, we came up with the Blackberry Eyes music video that summarizes our relationship. We are excited to celebrate our next adventure at our favorite park in Syracuse- Green Lakes State Park. See you all soon!
