Emma and Matthew’s story began online, thanks to a little help from mutual friends. From the very first messages, Matthew knew there was something special about Emma—he even admitted later that he knew she was the one instantly. When they finally met in person for dinner and a movie, Emma was shy and nervous, while Matthew charmed her with easy conversation (and maybe a slightly exaggerated claim about being 5'8”). Not long after, Matthew sent a sweet text asking Emma to be his girlfriend, making it official before either of them had the chance to overthink it. A couple of months later, Emma said “I love you” first, and from that moment on, their forever had begun.
