Meet The Billups

How we met was so funny :) We both were shopping in Kroger's on Cleveland Ave. around 10pm at night. My very first encounter with Mr. Billups he had on an all black hoodie with his head covering his dreads. So me being the scary person that I am at night, he spoke and I spoke back (still being scared). I had no reason to be scared that's just the person I was. So I finished grabbing my things what I had came inside the store for. So sure as I turned into the next isle there was Mr. Billups standing again pretending to be reading ingredients off of a can. So at this point I am saying to myself why is this weird big ole guy following me around the store. So I said okay let me leave cause he wont leave me alone. So I went to check out. So literally im watching around me and didn't see Mr. Billups no where else in my view. At least I thought I didn't! Well well as I exit the store I heard someone say "Ms. lady" and I looked around it was sure Mr. Billups again with one grocery bag in his hand. So now we outside in the dark Im really scared so he say "whats your number"? I said the number so fast I was trying to give him a fake number but end up saying my real number (that's just how scared I was). So a day or two went by and he called, so I never understood his name when he told me at the store because I was too busy trying to run from him. So he said "you don't remember me, I met you at the Kroger's on Cleveland Ave". So by the time I could answer he was facetime me, so I answer the facetime call and saw a head full of dreads. Now I said "wait a minute, not only was you following me around the store but I sure didn't know you had dreads". We laughed and laughed. He said "I wasn't following you around" I told him "boy stop yes you was and I was scared as hell". He said scared for what I would never do anything to hurt you. And he have stood just on that 5 years later & 1 baby girl. He's my life time partner, my best friend, my soon to be husband, my safe place and everything I could ever image. I love you Mr. Billups!
