Both Christine and Eric were studying alone for the first course of their Dental Hygiene program in the Truckee Meadows Community College library. Eric recognized Christine who sat behind him in class. He approached Christine and asked if she would like to study with him and she accepted. While moving his belongings a computer adjacent to her, Eric clumsily spilled his beverage all over the library's keyboard. It was in this moment that Christine thought to herself "Dear lord, this guy needs a lot of help." Their relationship continued to bloom and Eric invited Christine to move in with him at his home in Lake Tahoe where he could start teaching her exciting new activities like snowboarding and boating. Christine also introduced Eric to activities he was unfamiliar with like cleaning and organizing.

In September of 2022 Eric and Christine took a trip to San Antonio, Texas which was the first place they had ever went on a trip together. He had both his and her parents secretly meet them in the city's botanical gardens where Eric got down on one knee to propose. It was in that moment she saw both sets of parents and immediately turned around to make her escape. Nevertheless, she returned and accepted which is why you are here reading this story today!
