Dorothea Dix Park
We run and walk through this park all the time! In the summer, they have a huge field of sunflowers. They normally are fully bloomed in July, but maybe by June 18th you can see them coming into their own, or bring a blanket and have a picnic in the big field!
Pelagic Beer and Wine
Justin used to pour beer at this sweet bottle shop! If you're looking for a sweet, chill atmosphere, pop on over to Pelagic or their sister shop, Riparian! (Also, Google those words for some sweet new vocabulary!)
Umstead State Park
We have probably spent a good 60% of our dates at Umstead! Running, hiking, or just taking our engagement photos :) We prefer the Cary entrance off of Harrison, but there is also an entrance on the Raleigh side right by the airport!
Lake Johnson Park
A quick getaway with water views and an easy greenway loop to walk, bike, or run on!
YUMYUM THAI
Incredible Thai food where they surprisingly play classic jazz music - and it's well priced!
Noodle Boulevard
To die for Ramen! Justin says it even feels like you're in Japan in there. Go for the amazing food and atmosphere, and know that parking will take you 5 minutes more than you wish it would - but it's worth it!
