Can I bring a guest?

Answer

No, this is an invite-only affair. Unfortunately, due to the capacity of the venue we can only accommodate the person(s) listed on the invitation.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love the kids, but unfortunately we are not allowing additional guests, including children.

Question

Is transportation provided to/from the airport and wedding?

Answer

UBER: Ubers are safe and affordable in PV. The resort is super close. Ubers are about $10 or less. AIRPORT: There will be a shuttle service for all wedding guests staying at Velas Vallarta. This will be an additional cost of $18 per person. Reserve your shuttle at guestservicevv@velasresorts.com. WEDDDING ACTIVITIES: All scheduled wedding activities (welcome reception, ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception) will take place at Velas Vallarta, the same resort where we have a hotel block - transportation is not needed.

What is the dress code?

Answer

The theme is tropical glam so break out your best & most glamorous cocktail attire. Men: Suits preferred, jacket optional. No jeans, please. Women: Semi-formal cocktail attire. We kindly ask that guests avoid colors traditionally reserved for the bride. This includes white, off-white, ivory, cream, and any patterns that are mostly these colors.

Will I have to walk on sand?

Answer

The ceremony will be on a platform. Ladies you have a chance to wear your fancy heels. However, the reception will take place on the sand with a platform dance floor.

I don't have a passport. How soon should I apply for one?

Answer

Like yesterday! Please apply for your passport as soon as possible. We recommend purchasing expedited services for those who wait 3-6 months close to the wedding date.

Do you have any hotel recommendations? Do you have a room block?

Answer

Yes - we reserved a block of rooms at Velas Vallarta for a discounted rate. This is an all-inclusive resort. We prefer our guests to stay at this resort and to book through the provided website link https://tinyurl.com/TheBestofCTHotel.

Do I have to stay at the host hotel?

Answer

It is highly recommended that you book your accommodations at our host hotel and within our room block. If you book separately, you will be charged to attend events held at the host hotel. If you choose to book your own accommodations and not with the host hotel, each person will be required to purchase a day pass to visit the property. The average cost for a day pass is $135 USD and there are restrictions applicable (time you can spend on property, meals and beverages may not be included and you may not be able to access certain areas of the hotel). The hotel reserves the right to limit the availability of day passes or not offer them at all, based on their occupancy levels. It is not guaranteed day passes will be available for purchase during your travel dates. Guests staying at a different resort will also be responsible for arranging their transportation to/from the airport, welcome reception, and the wedding.

What if I RSVP and can no longer attend?

If you were invited to witness this special day - we truly love you! It also means that you know us very well; we ask that you let us know right away. No love lost. We appreciate your honesty and courtesy rather than a no-show!
