Phil and Alyssa met while living in Seattle, WA. Alyssa had moved in January 2018 for a chance to try something new and live closer to her nieces. Phil took a new job and moved out in October 2018. Their first date was at an Arcade Bar and as they say, "the rest is history."

Phil and Alyssa invited a group of their friends to come celebrate St.Patty's day in Chicago. After going out to celebrate, Friday morning, Phil started his plan to propose. Phil asked Alyssa to go get coffee with him- after getting his coffee, Phil then asked to go on a "walk". Important note: it was intact raining and cold! Immediately after suggesting a walk, Alyssa knew something was up. They walked to the water front where Alyssa's two friends were to be to take photos. Because of the cold, they didn't make it down to the meeting spot and Phil proposed by the water where they often walked to with their pup, Otis. After the engagement, Phil had their friends waiting at a neighborhood bar to celebrate. Phil surprised Alyssa by inviting her friend, baby and husband to celebrate with her without her knowing! It was a perfect day.
