FAQs

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We would love for everyone to dress up with us! We ask that the dress attire be Cocktail/Formal, with a "Wildflower Garden Party" theme. Have fun with it, we want to see a beautiful crowd of colors/florals! You do not have to follow the theme, we just thought it be fun! What is considered Cocktail/Formal? Upscale but more fun and flexible. Example: Suit + Tie, light or dark, long dress, midi dress, chic jumpsuit/suit with heels, sandals, flats or dress shoes. We encourage you to wear what makes you feel like the most you and formal!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Please message the couple and ask, if we have the space then we will add your plus-one. However, please respect if we have to say no, and can not accommodate your plus-one. We will also include how many seat(s) have been reserved for you, on the invitation.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Due to the majority of our guest needing to travel, kids will be welcomed. Of course if you prefer to come without the kids, that is completely fine too! We would hate if anyone felt they could not come because the children could not go. All we ask is, if your kids are coming, please be respectful of the more "serious" parts of the wedding (EX: ceremony, toast/speeches and first dance). We would also like to mention, that the music playing may not be kid appropriate, through out the night.

Question

Can I take my own pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We please ask you to refrain from using your phones during the ceremony. We have hired some wonderful photographers, that take absolutely beautiful pictures, we will get you those ASAP! After the ceremony, however, whip those devices out and snap away!!!

Question

What colors is the bridal party wearing?

Answer

All we ask is you avoid white/ivory.

Question

My kids are not under my RSVP, or I am not under my parents RSVP?

Answer

If your invitation includes "The _____ Family", and you are 21+, you will have your own RSVP, that you will need to respond to. You will not be under your parents. This, in short, is to help with our catering.

Question

Is there a room block?

Answer

The hotel does not offer a room block but does allow our guest to make reservations before the dates are open to the public, as-well-as a discount for all wedding guest. Please visit the "Travel" page for all information and links. Please book ASAP too, to avoid the rooms selling out.

Question

Do we have to stay at Fort William Henry Hotel?

Answer

Of course not, if you would like to stay somewhere else, that is perfectly fine! Please just prepare your own means of transportation, to and from the wedding venue. Please remember to drive responsibly! Uber does run in Lake George, please use this feature if needed.

Question

What kind of bar will be hosted at the event?

Answer

We will have an open bar starting at 5 p.m. at cocktail hour and ending at 10 p.m.. The venue has a strict NO shots, neat drinks, pitchers of alcohol, or Long Island Ice Teas policy. Please respect this policy and order another option. We have both picked a delicious signature drink, one of these would be a wonderful option!

Question

Helpful tips.

Answer

The ceremony will be located on grass/outside. Ladies the grass could be soft, it may be best to rethink stilettos.
