The Bells Are Ringing

The night we met, we were in our Freshmen year of high school and briefly spoke at a Friday night football game. We were both in band and played clarinet but didn't really connect until our Sophomore year. We were friends for about a year, back and forth flirting, and didn't start going out until one night, after band practice. We were walking to his car and I saw, on his windshield cover 'Will You Go Out With Me?' I loved it and said 'yes'. That was September 30th, 2013.

We fell in love with Broken Bow, OK the first time we went with Cynthia because it combined our love for the outdoors and glamping. After our first trip there, we decided to go again, but this time, we brought all of our friends along with us. On January 8th, 2020, we did a hiking trip and, in an open field surrounded by trees and our friends, Ethan and the others made me think we were just taking pictures. I thought the picture had been taken already when Ethan got down on one knee and proposed. I, in a panic, repeatedly said 'No' and broke down but ultimately, it was a 'Yes' and I was so happy. No one lets me forget that I immediately said 'No' LOL!
