Nick and I were both working at Ricks Cafe Boatyard summer of 2014. I was the hostess and Nick was a food runner. Nick lived on the lake that the restaurant was on and eventually asked me if I wanted to come over for some beers at his boathouse. This obviously sounded amazing to me, so that is what I did. And continued to do after every shift until it was time for me to go back to college. Things were getting serious and we decided to make our relationship official. We dated long distance for a couple of years and then Nick got his first big boy job in California, August 2016. I finished my last semester of college and joined him out west where I also got my first big girl job, January 2017. Fast forward to 2021, we bought the condo we had been living in for the past few years in Newport Beach, CA. Our first home together! It's our absolute favorite place to be and we have made so many friends that feel like family here. Truly blessed. But our greatest adventure comes just a quick 2 years after buying our home. Katie is pregnant! We welcomed our sweet baby boy, Luey Ray, December 16, 2023. California is the most special place to us and that is why we chose to get married here.
