Bo Caroline's and my story began in the spring of 2023 at Georgia Tech, when a mutual friend (shoutout Zach!) set us up on a Theta Xi date night. We spent the latter half of that semester getting to know each other through coffee dates and fraternity and sorority events, all while knowing Caroline would soon be heading to California for a summer internship. Knowing this and how remarkable of a woman Caroline is, I knew I needed to act fast. The night before she moved away, I used this motivation to muster up the courage to ask her to pursue a relationship, and thankfully, she said yes! That summer of long distance was an unconventional way to start a relationship, but we both look back on it with great joy. With nothing but hours of FaceTime calls between us, we truly got to know each other and built a foundation that still carries us today. After three looooong months, Caroline came back to Atlanta to finish her senior year at GT, and the rest is history. *** Caroline Truthfully, I didn't think much of that first date night. I remember telling my college roommate, Lexie, "I'm ABSOLUTELY not looking for anything right now," while walking out the door to go meet Bo. But I soon realized that the Lord placing Bo in my life was no accident! After graduation, I moved to Chicago for work while Bo finished his senior year in Atlanta. The past two + years have once again been filled with FaceTime calls, flights, and weekend trips to see each other, but it has been such a blessing to have each other as a constant through all of the change. Bo's hometown of Newnan, Georgia became one of our favorite places to be, where we spent many weekends together whenever I came back to visit. That made it all the more special when Bo proposed at his parents' home last December, after a drive home from church! *** Now, after two years of long distance, Bo is moving to Chicago, and we finally get to do life in the same city. We are so excited to begin this next chapter and celebrate with all of you this fall! 🤍
