What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony begins at 5:00pm. We ask guests arrive to Shady Lane Cellars no earlier than 4:15pm but no later than 4:50pm.

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Unfortunately we cannot accommodate additional guests not explicitly stated on the invitation. We appreciate your understanding and are excited to celebrate with you!

Are children welcome?

As much as we love your little ones, this is an adult only celebration. Thank you for your understanding!

What should I wear?

The dress code for our wedding is semiformal attire. We encourage guests to dress their best!

Can I take pictures?

Our ceremony will be unplugged as we have hired a fantastic photographer to capture all of the beautiful moments of the day! We kindly ask you refrain from taking personal photos until cocktail hour and the reception.

Where should I sit?

We ask that the first rows be reserved for immediate family but all others are open seating!

Will there be spirits/beer?

Answer

Shady Lane Cellars is an estate boutique winemaking facility. Due to licensing, the tasting room is only permitted to serve what they produce (wine and cider). We will have non alcoholic options available as well!

What time does the reception end?

Our reception will conclude at 10:00pm.

Where should I stay?

Answer

There are several Airbnb’s, inns, and hotels throughout the Traverse City area. Due to the time of year our wedding takes place, these fill quickly and we are unable to block large numbers of rooms. We highly recommend booking your stay sooner rather than later! For reference: Traverse City: ~11 miles from the venue Cedar: ~15 miles from the venue Northport: ~22 miles from the venue
