We're getting married!

From high school sweethearts to "Will you marry me?"

It all started at Fort Myers High School (who would’ve thought!). Allison and Garrett never actually had a class together, but luckily they shared a great mutual friend. During senior year, their friend Harper decided to set her two friends up after a conversation with Garrett and the rest of their Chick-fil-a coworkers. Both awkward teenagers who had never been on a date before, they went on their very first date on December 27, 2019. Those young kids never could have imagined that a simple ice cream date would turn into the beginning of the rest of their lives together!

Allison and Garrett made it official on January 25, 2020 — becoming each other’s very first boyfriend and girlfriend! Shortly after they started dating, the COVID-19 pandemic shut the world down. During those months, the two became inseparable as they spent lots of quality time together with no school and nowhere to go, and their relationship grew quickly. Soon after, they began four years of long-distance while Allison attended the University of Florida in Gainesville and Garrett stayed in Fort Myers. Even though they saw each other less often, their relationship only grew stronger. They talked on the phone every night and visited each other whenever they could. Garrett even flew to Spain to visit Allison during the summer she studied abroad in London!

In 2024, Allison and Garrett finally lived in the same city again for the first time in four years. But both of them knew they wanted to experience something new beyond Fort Myers. In January 2025, they took a big leap of faith for both their careers and their relationship and moved to Knoxville, Tennessee, where they currently live. After years of long distance, finally living together marked the beginning of a new chapter — and the two turned out to be pretty great roommates! While the move brought on lots of new changes, one thing has remained consistent: their love and unwavering support for each other.

On November 26, 2025, Allison and Garrett went to Bonita Beach for a sunset picnic while they were home for Thanksgiving. Beach sunset picnics have been one of their favorite go-to dates ever since they started dating in January 2020. Because of this, Allison had absolutely no idea that this evening would be any different. It wasn't until after the sun had gone down and tears came to Garrett's eyes that Allison realized this wasn't just an ordinary date. Garrett got down on one knee and asked Allison to marry him there on the beach, with no one else around - just them, the sunset and the beach. After the proposal, the newly engaged couple headed to Allison’s parents’ house to share the exciting news. Her family was just as surprised as she was, and the happy news soon spread to friends and family near and far.

Now, the two continue to live together in Knoxville, Tennessee, where they are the proud parents of two adorable kitties, Princess and Benny, and they just bought their first home together!
