Seating for Ceremony

Answer

Our ceremony has very limited seating. We will text anyone who will have an actual chair at the ceremony. The rest of the ceremony will be standing and there will be plenty of room for standing. As much as we wish we had the space to allow everyone a seat we are very limited for the ceremony. The good news is the ceremony should only be around 15 minutes. If standing is a problem for you our cocktail hour will start around 4 and you are welcome to come then. We appreciate everyones understanding as we accommodate the amazing space we have for this wedding.

Can I bring children?

Answer

Unless we have spoken with you individually, we are not allowing children. We love all the little ones but will not be able to accommodate them for our wedding, we hope you understand.

Do I get a plus one?

Answer

Although we would love to allow everyone to bring an additional person to celebrate with, we have limited space and have put a lot of care into choosing everyone on our guest list. Please only RSVP for those on your invite.

What is the weather like in Ventura at this time of the year?

Answer

August in Ventura is arguably the best weather of the year which was a huge factor for us choosing this time. Weather should be high 70's to mid 60's at night. The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will all be outdoors so please plan accordingly.

How is the parking?

Answer

Parking in the hills of Ventura is limited so we highly recommend Ubering if you are staying/live close enough. There is parking along the road for those that plan on driving, just be courteous of neighbors drive ways and tight turns.

Where should we stay?

Answer

We have a section in our website for accommodations if you are getting a place to stay. We will have hotel blocks as well as recommendations for Airbnbs in the area.

Is there a dress code for the wedding?

Answer

We have selected garden cocktail for dress code. We will have lots of bright colors, disco balls, and flowers. We would love to look out and see everyone colorful, happy and having a good time. Please wear whatever you feel best in. The backyard has a lot of grass and uneven terrain so thin bottomed heels are not recommended.

What are the food options?

Answer

Food will include meat and vegetarian options. If you have specific dietary restrictions please reach out to Becca or Jack so we can do our best to accommodate you.

Will there be booze?

Answer

OF COURSE! There will be an open bar with beer, wine, and cocktails. Again we highly recommend Uber or Lyft for transportation.

What time should I arrive to the wedding?

Answer

We would like everyone to arrive between 3 and 330. We will be having our ceremony in the front of the house around 3:30 and will not be moving to the back until after.

Is there an after party?

Answer

Our wedding will go until 10pm. Our hotel we are staying at for the wedding night is right down town so we anticipate having a night cap after the wedding festivities and invite anyone who wants to join with us.
