Take a step back in time to Hannah's old stomping grounds to where she went to high school. The old cow field is now a beautiful shopping center with lots of local restaurants to enjoy. For dinner, check out Central BBQ for some pretty good bbq. For drinks, check out Sippin' Silo or Lucky Dog. And for a morning coffee before the big day, you can't go wrong with Beans and Leaves. There's also a grocery story nearby if you wanted to stay at the Marriot inside the square! All of this just 30 minutes from the venue :)
If you decide you want to explore Memphis, this is a great time to do it! Breakfast/Brunch: The Beauty Shop, Sunrise, The Liquor Store Lunch/Dinner: Gus's Fried Chicken, Arcade, Hen House, Huey's, Molly's La Casita, Aldo's, and Earnestine and Hazels (best burger you'll ever have and cheap drinks with cool history!) As for things to do, check out The Memphis Zoo, one of the best! The lantern festival starts November 13th, so check out the zoo during the day and come back at night! Places to stay? The Memphian is right inside Overton Square and has the cutest bar inside and walkable distance from great restaurants and shops, or check out the Peabody for a unique luxury stay in the heart of downtown (It holds a special place in our hearts because we got our engagement pictures there!), just steps from Beale St.!
